Turmeric benefits include so many healing properties that currently there are over 10,000 peer-reviewed articles published proving turmeric benefits, especially one of its renowned healing compounds, curcumin. - Dr. Axe

How To Use Super Activated Gold Curcumin

As a medicinal root turmeric is perhaps the most abundantly versatile. It can be used as a spice, added to food, made into a delicious beverage, put into capsules or even made into a paste and applied to aching joints, burns, wounds and insect bites.

Daily consumption is suggested at 1 – 2 teaspoons.
Begin with ¼ tsp daily and gradually increase.

Tea or Latte:
Our favourite way to use Super AGC is in tea, “liquid gold”. It has a lovely mild spicy flavour and seems to provide an immediate energy boost. Add ¼ - ½ tsp in a cup of hot (not boiling) pure water. A bit of honey can be added (optional). It can also be added to hot coconut milk if you prefer a latte.

Other Uses:
 Use it to spice up main dishes such as chicken, turkey, rice, vegetables, beans, and soups.
 Add it to salad dressings, marinades, glazes, potatoes, smoothies, bone broth, eggs, and sautéed onions.
 Sprinkle it on cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and kale. The phenethyl isothiocyanates in the crucifers combines with the curcumin in turmeric to prevent the growth of prostate cancer tumours.

Research Confirms: Curcumin More Effective Than Prescription Drugs
When compared to conventional medicine, curcumin benefits equal that of many pharmaceutical medications. In fact, a number of studies have even reported that using curcumin is even more helpful than certain prescription drugs. When we also consider that one of the most powerful advantages curcumin has over any drug medical approach is the lack of side effects - the choice becomes obvious!

Anti-Inflammatory
One of the most powerful aspects of curcumin is its ability to control inflammation.
M.D. Anderson from the Cancer Center in TX, published the results of a study in the journal Oncogene, which evaluated many anti-inflammatory compounds and found that aspirin and ibuprofen are least effective, while curcumin is among the most effective anti-inflammatory compounds in the world.

This news should have reached every person world-wide because inflammation puts people at risk for almost every disease known to man.

Blood Thinners/ Antiplatelets
Medical intervention includes various medications that slow and prevent blood clotting. Some common side effects are excessive bleeding and haemorrhage, the risks associated with anticoagulants abound and include everything from back pain to headaches to difficulty breathing. Curcumin, on the other hand, has relatively no known side effects unless taken in extremely excessive amounts. Since several groundbreaking studies in the 1980’s, the curcumin in turmeric has been suggested by researchers as actually being a better option for those with vascular thrombosis (blot clot).

Antidepressant
Depression has been linked to reduced levels of BDNF. Studies have confirmed that curcumin has a similar effect as antidepressants on patients suffering from depression by boosting levels of BDNF. Curcumin has also been shown to boost the brains neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine.

Curcumin proved as effective as Prozac in managing depression.

The journal Phytotherapy Research, published the results of an innovative study where the authors conclude, “This study provides first clinical evidence that curcumin may be used as an effective and safe modality for treatment in patients with MDD .”

Arthritis Management
A study was conducted on 45 rheumatoid arthritis patients to compare the benefits of curcumin to the arthritis drug Diclofenac sodium (dangerous stuff that put people at risk of developing leaky gut and heart disease). Volunteers were split into three groups: curcumin treatment alone, Diclofenac sodium alone, and a combination of the two.

The curcumin group showed the highest percentage of improvement overall and significantly better than all the patients in the diclofenac sodium group - ta da!

Cancer Treatment
Over 2,000 published studies have shown curcumin combats cancers of the breast, prostate, liver, colon, lung, pancreas and more. Many of these studies have shown curcumin actually stops cancer cells from dividing. Curcumin has also been shown to trigger apoptosis, or programmed cell death, which is the body’s natural and necessary way of ridding itself from damaged cells.

Curcumin has been shown to kill cancer cells and prevent more from growing.

Unlike chemotherapy drugs or the breast cancer drug Tamoxifen (which by the way has been classified by the WHO and the U.S. National Institutes of Health as a known human carcinogen with over 20 side-effects), curcumin has the ability to kill cancer cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed.

The results of these studies are jaw dropping!

Despite the fact that curcumin has been extensively researched for decades and has demonstrated clear anti-cancer power in clinical trials, it is still not widely prescribed in cancer therapy as there is little financial incentive to do so.  Drug companies cannot patent natural substances and without a patent there is no profit.

A 2007 U.S. study using curcumin along with chemotherapy to treat bowel cancer showed that adding curcumin to the diet (1-2 tsp daily) killed more cancer cells than chemotherapy alone.

Cholesterol Medication
Curcumin has long been known as effective as atorvastatin (trade name: Lipitor) in regulating epithelial dysfunction, the condition in which inner linings of blood vessels are damaged and plaque stick to artery walls, leading to heart disease.

Diabetes
For lowering blood sugar and reversing insulin resistance, there’s arguably no better natural treatment than adding turmeric into your diet. A study conducted at Auburn University showed that curcumin is literally 400 times more potent than Metformin (a common diabetes drug) in activating AMPK which improves insulin sensitivity which can help reverse Type 2 Diabetes.

Curcumin has also been proven to help reverse many of the issues related to insulin resistance and hyperglycemia.

IBS-Chron's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Of all the studies evaluating curcumin’s ability to manage inflammatory bowel disease (IBS, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis), St Mark’s Hospital in London found that many patients were able to stop taking their prescribed corticosteroids because their condition improved so dramatically by taking curcumin!

Obesity & Weight Loss
Researchers at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo NY,report,“Experimental evidence supports the activity of curcumin in promoting weight loss and reducing the incidence of obesity-related diseases.”

Curcumin reduces obesity and curtails the adverse health effects of obesity.

Effective Pain Relief
Curcumin has been proven to be more effective than celecoxib (Celebrex) in treating arthritis pain, for example. It has antioxidant, antiviral, and antifungal properties and it inhibits the function of molecules that play a role in inflammation because it contains high levels of natural pain-relieving COX-2 inhibitors. Curcumin reduces inflammation by lowering histamine levels and stimulating the adrenal glands to produce more cortisone, the body’s natural painkiller.

Does turmeric work for pain? You bet it does. There are more than 7000 studies on this spice, so you can confidently try it for yourself and make your own remarkable recovery!

Some of the most powerful and safest therapies are found in nature. Turmeric is one that tops the list. You can reap the benefits of turmeric by seasoning your foods with it. Add it to soups or stews, or drink turmeric tea. Taken orally, turmeric can stop arthritis pain throughout the body.
